Q: How do I check to make sure self-enrollment was successful?

A: Sign back into Duo Device Management Portal: https://netid.uwosh.edu/duo

Q: Why don't I see a prompt to sign into Duo?

A: Not all applications support the Duo windows/iframe. When authenticating to such as system, login as you would normally, but append the Duo passcode to your NetID password with a comma and no space, as shown in image below. Push notifications may or may not work for these applications.

NOTE: The following list of applications are known to be affected by this behavior:

  • Peoplesoft
  • Campus VPN

Q:  What if I forget my phone or FOB?

A:  Contact the IT Help Desk to request a bypass code (this is good for 12 hours).   We must go through the Identity Proofing  process before we can provide you with a bypass code. 

Q: Can I configure both a fob and the phone app?    

A: Yes, you will need to visit Clow C010 and pick up a fob. You can also configure the phone app at the same time.

Q: Can the phone app be tied to multiple accounts?  

A: Yes, you can add the UWO account to the app.

Q: FOB only displays 888 888 code.

A: The 888 888 code is a test that shows the display is working properly and will show if the button is held down.  To display a code that can be used for DUO authentication push the button quickly and let go.

Q: Why am I unable to add my phone to my student employee account that is already used on my student account or vice versa?

A: Associating a previously enrolled phone to an additional account can only be done at https://netid.uwosh.edu/duo

Q: Duo says I'm locked out. How long will I be locked out? 

Duo lockouts last for thirty minutes.
