Accounts - Student Accounts After Graduation

This document will explain what happens to student accounts after students graduate. It includes information regarding TitanApps (e-mail), NetID, and Titan Web. It also includes information regarding alumni e-mail accounts.

What Happens to my TitanApps (Student E-Mail) Account After Graduation? 

After a student graduates, his/her student e-mail account will remain active for a period of time.

Account Deactivation Notice

At the beginning of the semester following a student's graduation, the student will receive an e-mail notification regarding the deactivation of their account.

Request a 6 Month Graduate Email Extension

After receiving the deactivation notice a student may request a one time email extension
  1. Contact the Help Desk via e-mail ( or phone (920-424-3020) or in person in Dempsey 207 to request a 6-month graduate extension

Important Note:  Please note this extension will only be granted one time.

Other Email Options for Graduates

Students who would like to keep a UW Oshkosh e-mail account beyond the 6-month extension may create an alumni e-mail account at any point in time after graduation. Below are steps to create an account:

Important Note:  This is a separate email account from your former account which will be deactivated.

How to Create an Alumni E-Mail Account

  1. Open a Web Browser
  2. Go to
  3. Click Request a New Account
  4. Type in your NetID username and password (If you no longer have a NetID, click prior year graduate form and follow the steps)
  5. Click Continue
  6. Follow the steps provided
If you are unable to log in with your NetID username and password, contact the Help Desk. They will provide assistance and make sure you are able to get your account set up.

What Happens to my NetID Account After Graduation?

After a student graduates the NetID account will be deactivated

Deactivations for NetIDs

  • Happen no sooner than 6 weeks after graduation
    • Spring graduates happen no sooner than 6 weeks after interim
If a student has a special circumstance in which they need their NetID to remain active, they should call the Help Desk and explain why. The Help Desk can create a ticket to put in the request, but there is no guarantee that the account will remain active. 

What Happens to my Titan Web Account After Graduation?

Titan Web accounts remain active even after a student graduates.

This allows students to access unofficial transcripts, request official transcripts, and other information at any time after they have graduated from UW Oshkosh.
