Adobe InDesign - Viewing High Quality Artwork
These instructions will show you how to view high quality artwork.
The term WYSIWYG, stands for, What You See Is What You Get. By default any artwork placed into inDesign will be rendered as quickly as possible, but at the expense of quality. You may notice pixelated or blury high quality images in your document and be wondering "is this what it will look like when I print?" The answer is no.
To show artwork in high quality:
- Go to the View menu, choose the Display Performance submenu
- Choose High Quality Display.
- The images in the document will appear at their highest quality with this setting. If you're on a slower machine, you probably want to be in Typical most of the time.
