Food Service Vendor (Aladdin) Support

Supporting tech help with Aladdin owned computers

Vendor-owned computers must not be imaged by UW Oshkosh IT or added to our domain: (uwoad.it.uwosh.edu

Requests should come from Reeve/Dining (Nancy Gjertson, Sara Suwalski, Brian Warzynski)

  1. Aladdin Support; What does Vendor IT do and what does UW Oshkosh IT do? Who to contact?
    1.  Hardware/software issues:  
      1. Contact Vendor Help Desk 
      2. Hardware/software owned by vendor, (UWO IT does not manage or have admin rights) 
    2. Login issues: 
      1. Contact vendor help desk (unless one of the old UWO surplus computers with UWO____ computer name) 
      2. Vendor employees sign into computers with provided vendor accounts 
    3. Network/Internet access (eg. computers/printers): 
      1. Contact UWO IT Help Desk 
      2. Data jacks, data cords, Internet access 
    4. Shared (S:) drive:  
      1. Contact UWO IT Help Desk 
      2. UW Oshkosh NetID accounts 
      3. Shared (S:) drive permissions 
      4. Shared (S:) drive connection setup  

New computer setup (vendor-owned)

    1. UW Oshkosh IT tasks: 
      1. The computer will need to be connected to the network and any needed printers 
      2. The user will need to sign in with a local account, provided by vendor's IT Help Desk 
      3. A manually created Shared (S:\) drive mapping needs to be created with the 'reconnect at logon' and 'use other credentials' (user: uwoad.it.uwosh.edu\NetID)
