Polk Library Troubleshooting

 

Projection issues

      Computer

        1. Verify the projector is turned on
          1. Verify the computer is on
            1. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower or touch panel on the computer cart
              1. Verify the VGA cable is connected to the adapter and the adapter is connected to the computer

                Document Camera

                  1. Verify the projector is turned on
                    1. Verify the document camera is turned on
                      1. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower or the touch panel on the computer cart
                        1. Verify the VGA cable is connected to the port labeled VGA out on the back of the document camera

                          VHS/DVD

                            1. Verify the projector is turned on
                              1. Verify the media tower is turned on 
                                1. Verify the correct source is selected on control panel on the media tower or touch panel on the computer cart

                                  Laptop

                                    1. Verify the projector is turned on
                                      1. Verify the computer is on
                                        1. Verify the correct source is selected on the control panel on the media tower or touch panel on the computer cart
                                          1. Verify the laptop is connected to the system using the room laptop cable
                                            1. Verify the laptop is set to mirror or duplicate displays

                                            Display Issues

                                              Digital Displays

                                              1. Verify the displays are turned on 

                                              Computer

                                              1. Verify the monitors are turned on
                                              2. Verify PC is selected as the source on the touch panel on the computer cart
                                              3. Verify the HDMI cable is connected to the adapter and the adapter is connected to the computer 

                                                Document Camera

                                                  1. Verify the doc cam is turned on
                                                    1. Verify the doc cam is selected as the source on the touch panel on the computer cart 

                                                      Blu-ray

                                                        1. Verify that the Blu-ray is turned on
                                                          1. Verify DVD is selected as the source on touch panel on the computer cart

                                                            Laptop

                                                              1. Verify the laptop is selected as the source on the touch panel on the computer cart
                                                                1. Verify the laptop is connected to system using room laptop cable
                                                                  1. Verify the laptop is set to mirror or duplicate displays

                                                                    Audio Issues

                                                                      Computer

                                                                        1. Verify the audio is not muted on the monitors
                                                                          1. Verify the audio is not muted on the computer 
                                                                            1. Verify audio cable is connected to the computer
                                                                              1. Adjust the volume using the controls on the touch panel

                                                                                Blu-ray

                                                                                  1. Verify the audio is not muted on the monitors
                                                                                    1. Adjust the volume using the controls on the touch panel

                                                                                      Laptop

                                                                                        1. Verify the audio is not muted on the monitors
                                                                                          1. Adjust the volume using the controls on the touch panel
