This document explains what playlist can be used for and provides a training video to create playlist and who to contact to setup shared playlist.

Making Playlists

Instructors can make playlists with for their students.  There are two ways to do this. 
  1. offers a video detailing the basics of playlists and sharing.
  2. After finding a video or course, click Playlist to see options for adding the item to a playlist or creating a new one.

Sharing Playlists

Instructors can create their own playlists on Lynda and share them via email, link, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.

Assigning Playlists to Groups

Information Technology can create a group for instructors that allows them to assign a playlist to users. There is a bit more of a burden on the instructor to do this, but it adds the benefit of reporting tools.  

Viewing Usage Data for a Group

Using this method, an instructor can view usage data for their class including
  • Which students watched individual videos
  • How much of the video they watched
  • Other useful assessment information
