D2L - How to Combine Courses

If you have a cross-listed or multi-sectioned course, the separate sites can be combined into one site. Combining course sections allow you to have all of your studnets and course materials in one location.

How to Combine Cross-Listed or Mulit-Section Courses

Combining course sections can help instructors who have courses that are taught at the same physical time and location, but may have two separate sites in D2L.  An example is when there is graduate and undergraduate sections together or when classes are taught in multiple departments.  To combine courses just complete the request linked below.

Written Instructions

  1. Access the Course Combination Request Form.
  2. Complete the information required in the base course (green background) section.  This will be your main course.
    Note:  If you have already added content or other materials to a section, make that section is listed as the base course.
  3. Add secondary sections in the spaces provided.  If more sections need to be combined than there is spaces on the request form, please email and include the required information in an email.
