Titan Web - Access for Advisors
This document explains the Advisor Role in Titan Web and how to troubleshoot if the advisor center is missing from the home screen.
Who has an advisor role?
Titan Web has a role that is automatically assigned to employees (staff or faculty) who are assigned in PeopleSoft as advisors to current students. This access allows these advisors to view student data including STAR (degree audit) and unofficial transcript so that they can work with students.
This advisor role is primarily used by departmental advisors (for example, those in academic departments or colleges).
Administrative Advisor Role
Some may have administrative accounts via Titan Admin such as:
These area will still have the advisor role in Titan Web because they are assigned as advisors to students in PeopleSoft.

- Student Support Services
What does the advisor see?
If there is a faculty member who advises students but does not have the Advisor Center when he or she logs into Titan Web, check the following:
- Sometimes users change the layout of their Titan Web accounts and the advisors pages may not show the usual way. See usual way below:
- If Advisor Center does not show, have the user click on Self-Service and look for links to the advisor pages:
- If neither of the above methods works, have the faculty member contact his or her departmental assistant to see if he or she is assigned to a student as an advisor in PeopleSoft. Once the departmental assistant does this, the USER PROFILE process (which adds access to the various roles) needs to run and then the user will be able to access the advisor pages in Titan Web. The process currently runs every night.
