This document gives you the basic structure of a how to connect a gaming system to installed classroom equipment

Classroom - Connecting a gaming console to classroom equipment

  • Verify the output source(s) on the game console
    • HDMI is supported by the following consoles (not a complete list):
      • Playstation 4
      • Xbox One
      • Playstation 3
      • Xbox 360
      • Wii U
  • Verify the connections available in the classroom 
    • VGA is supported in nearly all spaces
    • HDMI is available in all rooms in Clow Hall and select other spaces
  • Connect your gaming system using the laptop connection cable
    • HDMI to VGA adapaters are available for spaces that only have VGA laptop connections; contact any Technology Center for more information
    • Be aware: audio may or may not work depending on connections available
  • Turn on the projector using the controls in the room and select the laptop source
