Setting Resolution for a Connected Display (Mac)

This document explains how to get additional resolution options for a connected display while using a Mac computer

Set the resolution for a connected display

After the display is connected

  1. Choose  > System Preferences
  2. Click Displays and choose the Display tab
  3. Press the Option key on the keyboard while clicking Scaled to see additional resolutions for the second display
  4. Select the desired resolution from that list
This will also work while in mirrored mode if the desired screen resolution is not auto populated.
