OneDrive - Viewing Shared OneDrive files and folders on Windows Operating System
This document provides step by step instructions on how to view shared Microsoft's OneDrive files and folders on a Windows Operating System.
Viewing Shared Microsoft OneDrive files and folders:Log on to the Microsoft OneDrive webpage.
Click on Shared with me on left side of the Microsoft OneDrive webpage.
Click on the name of the shared folder you want available in File Explorer on your computer.
Click on the ‘…’ shown in the toolbar just below the black Office 365 heading.
Select Sync in the pop-up menu.
Click on the Open Microsoft OneDrive button.
Click on the Start Sync button.
You should see a dialogue box at the bottom right corner of your screen stating that ‘You are now syncing …’
Right-click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray (a blue cloud icon located near the clock).
Select Open your University of Wisconsin Oshkosh folder.
Click on your name located just to the left of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Right-click on the highlighted icon for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh folder.
Select Pin to Quick access on the pop-up menu.
The shared files and folders are now available in the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh folder in the Quick access area of the File Explorer as well as the Open/Save feature of many applications.
