Digital Signage Overview
Digital Signage is used by Reeve Marketing and University Marketing and Communications to display university department and student group content across campus. Our current solutions on campus include Campus Vision, Rise Display, Daktronics, and Carousel.
Campus Vision is utilized in academic buildings, Reeve Union, the residence halls, and campus computer labs. Content posted in these locations has a broad audience and is for both students and staff. Departments can purchase their own player and screen to display department specific content. Locations that have specific content include the Reeve Union Marketplace, the Alumni Welcome and Conference Center, and the Student Health Center. Departments are responsible for the initial and replacement cost of equipment and the annual software maintenance cost as well as appointing someone to post content.
Daktronics is the software that runs the three LED signs located outside of Reeve Union, the Fredric March Theater, and Kolf Fieldhouse. Content for these screens are posted by Reeve Marketing, University Marketing and Communications, Athletics, and the Theater. Most messages displayed on this screen should have little text and images.
Rise Display is currently used by the College of Business for their stock trading room and stock ticker display.
