Classroom Computers - Mirrored and Extended (PC and Mac)
How to change mirrored and extended settings on classroom computers
Mirrored and Extended Settings on Classroom PCs:
Any classroom computers that are connected to an external display (projector or digital display/television) have two icons on their desktop, "Mirror" and "Extend". Pictured below:
By default, all classroom computers are set to mirror upon startup. To utilize presenter view in PowerPoint the computer must have an extended desktop. To accomplish this, double click on "Extend" and present as normal.
Please note: if a video is linked within the presentation the window will have to be dragged to the other desktop or the computer will have to go back to mirrored in order for it to display properly.
All settings will revert back to mirrored upon restart.
